Thrift Store Rescue - Champy Flutes!

In the Spring I had the urge to hit the local thrift store - and I picked up some really sweet pieces. Lot's of etched glass, and delicate details that I cannot wait to use and display for all to see. For the meantime, they are waiting patiently for a new china cabinet that's in the works.

The etched rose design is deep with lots of details, I love the ridged stem. These beauties are screaming for a mimosa!

On the same thrift store run, these saucers found their way into my home....

I just LOVE these saucers - they are stunning. They remind me of something used in the "Graduate" or "Mame" they carry the elegance and sophistication of that era. The platinum rim is in excellent condition, there are no cracks or chips on the glasses. These glasses are very similar to the glassware produced by Dorthy Thorpe, Tiffin or Juliet by Seneca.  Saucers are great and are making a fierce comeback!

Adorable Milk Glass Vase

Yet another find at this thrift store. Adorable sweet vase, it's believed to be Anchor Hocking hobnail milk glass vase manufactured between 1959 to 1979. A bunch of yellow roses or sahara roses would look beautiful in this vase.

Etched Wheat Pattern Sherbet Glasses

These may be Sasaki crystal - wheat pattern with smooth stem, low sherbet glass. These charming glasses can be used for cordials, sherbet, shrimp cocktail, pudding, champagne, ice cream - you name it. I'll have to start planning something......

Vintage Etched Glass Bud Vase

This oh so feminine bud vase has sweet scalloped edges and a darling flower pattern on the face. The base of the vase is also etched. I'm not sure who the maker is or what period it is from. It appears to be machine etched / mid century, but don't hold me to its background details. Regardless it's just a sweet and feminine vase that I'm glad to have rescued from the thrift store!
