Obsessed: Wedges

Now that fall is here I'm really feeling the need to add some staples to my wardrobe. Mostly my shoe collection. While browsing Nordstrom's website this morning a few fabulous wedges caught my eye...what do you think about wedges? I absolutely love them and find them to be so comfortable.

Accessorizing & Artwork

If you are like me and like your walls to be filled with bespoke pieces, but don't have the funds to shell out a few thousand dollars for art - don't fret....here is a simple solution. While at an antique store I came across these silk Chinese dolls. They were just a few dollars and I snatched them up and had them framed. My suggestion is to not go out looking for specific pieces, just keep a watchful eye.

If you are out and about stop in at an antique store, a rummage sale, or garage sale and see what kind of items they have for sale. You can even use post cards or other toys, masks (mine are on a timeout right now but I will post pics one day), books, or maps as a creative way to fill up your walls. Since these are silk I do not have them in the direct sunlight, to prevent them from fading.

(Taken with my i phone sorry the quality isn't better)

Or perhaps you're looking for some accessories to fill up your shelves and want to create a conversation piece, keep scouring those antiques stores and tag sales, or even your great aunts attic - you never know what you'll find.

My husband acquired his grandfathers video camera a few years through his grandmother. It was something she was holding on to but really had no use for. We've put this little guy in our bookshelf. Before we had it on top of a cigar boxes on our mantle, and at one time it was on a dresser.

Be open and patient - if something catches your eye, grab it, take it home and display it for everyone to see. Happy hunting! xo

Just Jump!

So I recently fell in love with jumpsuit's. At first when they hit the stores I thought, "who came up with this horrible idea?" However I am a changed woman. On our recent trip to Italy every cute fashionable female was rockin' a jumpsuit. So I went on a quest and purchased one in Rome & let me tell you that was one of the best purchases I have ever made.

It looks a little something like this jumpsuit, which can be found at Asos via Polyvore.

I can't tell you how many compliments I've received on the jumpsuit. Think maxi dress on steroids. So I was out shopping and purchased a jumpsuit similar to this one below (I looked high and low online for it and couldn't find it but the cut of this is exactly like it) & paired it with a black blazer and a cute pair of wedges. You could add gold accessories like a chunky ring, earrings, a charm bracelet, and bangle.

Now that fall is around the corner you can spice up your wardrobe with this great & comfortable look.

Glamour Girl

Looking to spruce up your wardrobe this fall?  Grab a pair of skinny jeans, & a simple tank, use this as a base, add a fierce blazer, velvet is going to be hot this season, and I always am a fan of the slightly un-structered blazer, add some hot heels like the one's shown here. Since your outfit is very simple - the accessories will be the items to dictate the look you're going for.
